Mission Statement

The Mission of the Franklin County Recorder's Office is to record, preserve, protect and retrieve real estate, personal property, and other records for the public so their property interests are safeguarded, and so those records can be efficiently retrieved.


 

Services

real estate filings

Documents relating to real property transactions are stored in the Recorder's Office and made viewable through our Public Records Search website. In order for these documents to be accepted for recording, they must meet the requirements set by the Ohio Revised Code.

Living Wills

Living Wills may be recorded in our office for safekeeping. By recording your Living Will with the Franklin County Recorder, you ensure easy access to this important document by your loved ones and medical personnel in the event of an emergency.

Veterans are strongly encouraged to record their military discharge documents with our office for safekeeping. In recent years, the Recorder's Office has expanded the types of services offered to veterans. Click below to see all the services offered.

Receive email alerts any time your personal or business name is used in a filing with our office.
