Document Imaging Center
The Franklin County Document Imaging Center operates under the Franklin County Microfilming Board and is administered by the Franklin County Recorder. The Document Imaging Center serves various Franklin County government offices and agencies and its main duty is the conversion and preservation of County records, which is done by transferring paper and electronic documents onto microfilm, compact discs and computer systems. The Document Imaging Center also provides microfilming supplies, processing and duplication services, equipment maintenance and archival storage services, as well as, research, advice and order placement to County agencies on the purchase of new microfilming equipment.
The Ohio Revised Code Section 307.805 requires that, "On the first Monday in April of each year the county recorder shall file with the county microfilming board and the board of county commissioners a report of the operations of the center and a statement of the receipts and expenditures of the center during the year."
